About Me

I’m Sophie, I hiked the West Highland Way in 2022 and despite it being a total suffer fest, I ended up loving it. From that moment on I decided to make hiking my entire personality! I particularly love long distance trails – I try to do a few per year – but love a weekend trip or a munro as well.

Planning and finding information about long distance trails can be overwhelming, and I hope to make that process a little easier with my website.

Outside of hiking I work as a software engineer, and consider myself a professional hobby collector, including playing the violin, jewellery making (mostly in silver), reading and more . I’m also an avid believer in the fact that you don’t need to be good at something to enjoy it!
